Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you'll know which is right for you.

Hey David,

Thanks for coming out to the event! Yeah, there are lots of ways you can do rich data analytics, reporting and so on in SharePoint, so it really depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

I know you can integrate your existing Crystal Reports into a SharePoint environment, but keep in mind you can also take more complex reports and start leveraging Silverlight as a way to display data in a more consumable, explorative manner.

Let me know if you'd like some more resources and I'd be happy to provide them!

Hi James, I've enjoyed the Sharepoint event, but I'm from the "old school" of programming and obviously I'm trying to understand the new way of programming. I do a lot of report creation (Crystal off of DB2 and queries off of Dbase IV) most of the output is in Excel. At the beginning of each month, the Crystal server will automatically will be producing month end report and automatically e-mail them to the users. My question: What can Sharepoint do for us?
Thanks for your time,

David Lee
